According to the traffic law and the Mtsk regulation, a bus is defined as: “A vehicle that has more than eight seats other than the driver’s seat due to its structure and is manufactured for the purpose of carrying people.”

Although it is generally defined as a bus, a vehicle that carries passengers with more than 8 and less than 17 drivers, except for the driver, is classified as a minibus. Separate driving license types are defined for driving a minibus and a bus. The bus driving license is called D, and the minibus driving license is called D1. When you get a class D bus driving license, you can use it in a minibus.

What kind of process does a driver candidate go through to get a bus driver’s license?

First of all, the driver candidate who wants to get a bus driver’s license must have a class B driver’s license. A D1 minibus or D class bus driver’s license cannot be obtained without a class B driver’s license. After obtaining a class B driver’s license, a driver candidate who wants to make a difference to a class D bus driver’s license completes his/her documents and applies to Göksu Driving School and is placed in a suitable group. After the driving training given with the bus belonging to our driving school, the driver candidate takes the driving test under the supervision of the Ministry of National Education District Directorate officials of the district where our course is affiliated. If you pass the exam, your certificate will be prepared by our course and delivered to you. You can convert your certificate to a driver’s license by taking it to the relevant institution.

What is the age requirement to get a bus license?

We organize our driving lessons with our training vehicles belonging to our driving school at times convenient for you by appointment. Driver candidates who complete our driving lessons gain experience to drive a bus successfully both in the driving test and in traffic.
